Full-time position at Jackson Parish Hospital supporting medical records coding and account resolution functions.
Responsibilities include coding clinical records, researching and resolving denials, assisting with office functions, and supporting business office operations as needed. The role requires timely coding, chart review, charge monitoring, deposit verification, use of Cerner and clearinghouse tools, and occasional switchboard coverage.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education and experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience required
- 1 year of related work experience in a health care setting preferred
Knowledge and certifications
- Knowledge of medical and anatomical terminology preferred
- Knowledge of classification systems and coding guidelines required
- Knowledge of Medicare and other third-party billing requirements preferred
- ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS code knowledge preferred
- Insurance knowledge preferred
- AAPC, AHIMA, or ArchPro certification with experience in related business office functions
