Northwest Florida Community Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Clinic Biller/Coder to support clinic billing, coding, claims processing, and accounts receivable functions. This role helps ensure accurate reimbursement, compliance with payer requirements, and efficient revenue cycle operations in a hospital-based clinic setting.
The position involves assigning ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes; submitting claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers; resolving denials and billing discrepancies; and maintaining accurate records and documentation. The role also includes communicating with providers, staff, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing questions and payment issues.
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1–2 years of medical billing and/or coding experience, preferably in a clinic or physician practice setting
Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and billing systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred qualifications:
- CPC, CCS, or CBCS certification
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
