Seeking a detail-oriented, personable Medical Billing & Coding Specialist to support a small independent specialty practice focused on urology, gynecology, pelvic health, and hormone therapy.
This is a part-time role (18–24 hours per week) that is largely in person, with flexibility for some hours to be completed remotely. The position blends billing and coding responsibilities with in-clinic support, including patient reception and care coordination.
The role is designed to grow and may transition into a full-time position combining reception and billing. There is also flexibility for the role to evolve into a more dedicated billing and coding position that could be partially or fully remote.
- Experience in medical billing and coding
- Strong working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and insurance claim submission protocols
- Urology or gynecology specialty experience preferred
- CPC, CCS, or equivalent coding certification preferred
- Proficiency with ModMed EMR preferred
- Comfort working in a patient-facing clinical environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently during remote billing hours and collaboratively during in-clinic shifts
- Bookkeeping experience is a plus
