Essential Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; postsecondary certificate, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in a related field may be preferred
- Proven experience in medical billing, coding, collections, accounts receivable, or data entry
- Knowledge of medical billing software and electronic medical/health record (EMR/EHR) systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Understanding of HIPAA and billing/collection compliance requirements
