We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Medical Biller/Coder to join a healthcare administrative team. This role focuses on accurately translating clinical documentation into standardized codes for billing, managing patient records, ensuring compliance with coding regulations, and supporting efficient reimbursement processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of medical terminology, electronic health record systems, and coding methodologies to help support the financial health of the practice.
• Proven experience in medical billing and coding within a healthcare setting • Strong understanding of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and DRG coding classifications • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare reimbursement processes • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health record platforms • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills • Ability to interpret complex clinical documentation accurately • Experience with medical collections and patient account management preferred • CPC or CCS certification is highly desirable but not mandatory
