Evergreen Family Health is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Medical Billing & Coding Specialist to support accurate medical coding, claim submission, denial resolution, payment posting, and overall revenue cycle performance.
This role offers a hybrid schedule after successful onboarding and training, with periodic on-site work required at the Williston, Vermont office.
The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and comfortable collaborating with providers, billing staff, and insurance companies to resolve claim and payment issues efficiently while supporting excellent patient service.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous medical coding and/or billing experience required
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Coding certification such as CPC, CCS, or equivalent preferred
- Experience with insurance follow-up and collections preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and practice management systems, preferably eClinicalWorks
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
