Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience with non-emergency ambulance billing and coding
- Assign codes for symptoms, diagnoses, and procedures using ICD and CPT codes
- Collect documentation to support medical necessity
- Working knowledge of insurance ID numbers
- Previous experience in a medical, ambulance, or medical billing office
- Ability to type at least 25 WPM
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
