Central Texas Rheumatology Associates is seeking a certified medical coder to support billing and coding operations for a rheumatology and infusion practice.
The role is responsible for coding, claims submission, payment posting, and maintaining compliant billing practices while working closely with other departments to support accurate and efficient revenue cycle operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Current coding certification such as CPC, CCS, or equivalent
- Proven experience in medical billing and coding in a healthcare or clinical setting
- Experience with specialty coding
- Knowledge of insurance claims processing, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance
- Familiarity with billing software and electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare administration education preferred
