Part-time lead instructor role for a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist course at CALRegional.
The instructor will teach assigned classes, support student learning, facilitate required skill labs, and grade assignments and exams. This role follows an established course outline and is focused on preparing students for careers in healthcare billing and coding.
Schedule: Monday and Wednesday, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Morning and evening schedules are available.
Remote work is allowed, but the candidate must be a California resident.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3 years of experience in a directly related field
- 1 year of teaching experience preferred
- Current license or certification associated with medical billing and coding, such as CPC, CCS, or CMC
- Must adhere to weekly class schedule
- Energetic, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with computers and technology
- Ability to mentor students and uphold program standards
- California residency required
