Northwestern OB-GYN Consultants is seeking an experienced medical biller/coder to join its busy private OB-GYN practice in Chicago.
This role supports accurate coding, charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, and accounts receivable follow-up to help ensure timely reimbursement.
Requirements & Qualifications
Responsibilities
- Accurately assign CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Manage OB global billing, deliveries, procedures, and gynecologic services
- Code and bill ultrasound services, including Level I, Level II, and Dopplers
- Submit claims electronically and resolve rejections and denials
- Post insurance and patient payments
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable
- Communicate with providers regarding documentation and coding clarification
- Ensure compliance with payer guidelines and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing and coding experience required
- OB/GYN experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- eCW and Epic EMR/billing experience required
- CPC or equivalent certification required
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
