We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will manage the billing process for medical services, ensure accurate coding, submit claims in a timely manner, and follow up on outstanding payments. You will help support revenue cycle operations and contribute to delivering quality patient care.
This is a hybrid remote position based in Hilton Head Island, SC.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or related healthcare administrative roles
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare documentation standards
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for billing and record-keeping
- Proficiency in CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, DRG classifications, and medical coding best practices
- Ability to interpret complex medical information accurately and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for interacting with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients
