Net2Source is hiring an Inpatient Coder for a remote contract assignment supporting a Trauma Level 1 facility. The role focuses on coding inpatient diagnoses and procedures, ensuring coding accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
This position is remote (EST time zone) and is offered as an 11+ month contract.
Requirements & Qualifications
- CCS or AHIMA credential required
- Minimum 3 years of inpatient production coding experience, including Trauma Level 1 or Academic/Trauma Level 1 facility experience
- APR DRG experience
- Experience across all inpatient service types/areas
- Ability to review documentation and assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes
- Ability to query physicians to clarify diagnoses and/or procedures
- Knowledge of federal, state, and payer regulations
- Ability to interpret medical records, reports, and chart entries
- Must pass coding assessment with a score of 80% or greater
- Proficiency with basic office tools such as Word and Excel
