Superior Ambulance Service is seeking a Medical Coder for its Billing Department. The role focuses on reviewing patient care reports, ensuring accurate coding, and supporting timely and compliant billing for emergency medical transportation services.
This position is fully in-office Monday through Friday in Elmhurst, IL or Taylor, MI.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred college coursework toward a healthcare billing certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and handle stress in a busy environment
- Professional and positive attitude
- Computer literacy
- Typing speed of at least 35 WPM
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific knowledge
- Ability to respond to inquiries and forward appropriate complaints from employees, customers, agencies, facilities, and hospitals
- Ability to present information effectively to management
