Pain Specialists of America (PSA) is a Texas-based, multisite comprehensive pain management company with more than 15 locations, three ASCs, and one CLIA-certified laboratory in New Braunfels. The company is growing rapidly and is seeking a skilled billing and coding professional to support its revenue cycle operations.
This position works within the medical business office and RCM coding team to support accurate billing, coding, claims creation, and denial-related coding requests. The role requires familiarity with E&M, surgical, ASC, and anesthesia coding, along with the ability to collaborate with the manager and team to complete tasks within policy requirements.
Job duties
- Code and create claims for services provided by providers within the EMR system
- Ensure appropriate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes are billed
- Review and respond appropriately to appeal requests within the RCM department
- Assist the lead with RCM projects and tasks
Qualifications
- Certification as a Professional Coder required
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong medical business office background
- Familiarity with E&M, surgical, ASC, and anesthesia coding
- Experience in revenue cycle management and handling coding requests related to claims processing and denials
