Requirements & Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:
- Proven experience in medical billing and coding
- Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and DRG classifications
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare documentation standards
- Experience using EMR and EHR systems
- Strong background in collections and accounts receivable management
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Effective communication skills for working with insurers, providers, and patients
- Prior experience in a medical office environment
- Medical billing or coding certification preferred
