Responsible for accurately coding outpatient medical records with a moderate level of complexity.
Applies ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to patient records to support proper billing and reimbursement.
Works with clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Mentors entry-level coders as needed.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, Shift 1

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 1 year of HIM coding experience in hospital outpatient coding required.
Minimum of 1 year of HIM coding experience in an acute care environment at an academic facility preferred.
Epic and/or 3M experience preferred.
AHIMA- or AAPC-recognized coding program degree or certificate preferred.
Required credentials include one or more of the following: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCA, CCS-P, CPC, CIC, or CPC-A.
