Aquent is seeking a detail-oriented and professional Patient Scheduler to support a premier healthcare client. In this role, you will manage high-volume scheduling for pre-anesthesia appointments, ensuring patients are booked efficiently and accurately. You will serve as a key point of contact for patients, using complex scheduling criteria to determine whether appointments should be in-person or virtual while maintaining a high standard of patient-centered care.
You will also collaborate with clinical teams, patient care coordinators, and fellow schedulers to keep workflows running smoothly, document scheduling activity in the Epic EHR system, and monitor work queues and scheduling reports to stay organized and proactive.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience working with Electronic Health Records; Epic experience strongly preferred
- Experience in healthcare scheduling, a medical call center, or administrative support in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Strong customer service background with professional phone etiquette
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Teams
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong verbal communication skills with an empathetic, patient-focused approach
- Ability to learn internal scheduling software and complex clinical workflows quickly
- Reliable attendance and strong time management skills
Preferred:
- Familiarity with pre-anesthesia or surgical workflows
- Experience managing scheduling reports or specialized work queues
- Bilingual communication skills, especially Spanish
- Experience in a high-volume healthcare call center
