Coder Analyst Specialist for Clinical Documentation Integrity at Covenant Medical Group.
Full-time, day shift role supporting accurate documentation review, coding, abstraction, and billing for patient encounters. The position works closely with providers, office leadership, CDI leadership, and billing staff to ensure compliant coding, proper charge entry, and timely reimbursement.
Key duties include reviewing medical records, validating ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding, correcting unbilled claims, assisting with coding questions, supporting quality and audit reviews, and serving as a liaison between the practice and insurance companies for benefit determination and claim rejections.
Minimum education
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience sufficient to perform the essential duties
- Professional coding experience preferred
Minimum experience
- 3 years of extensive diagnosis and procedural coding experience required
Licensure / certification
- Must have and maintain CPC certification through AAPC, or RHIT certification through AHIMA
