Remote contract position supporting PACE risk adjustment coding.
Code medical records to validate ICD-10-CM codes for PACE risk adjustment and ensure work meets departmental production and quality standards. Review supporting documentation, research regulatory guidance, and prepare coding reports and work activity updates for supervision. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA security policies and procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of PACE risk adjustment coding experience
- Extensive ICD-10-CM coding experience with PACE risk adjustment models
- CRC certification and 3 years of risk adjustment coding experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage assigned charts in a daily work queue
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to think critically
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, EMR systems, and internet use
- Ability to multitask with strong time management, organization, and work ethic
