CPT 99224 – CPT 99226 (DELETED) | Subsequent Hospital Observation Care Services

CPT 99224 (DELETED) : There are 2 key components that must be met in order to report CPT Code 99224 appropriately when selecting an Evaluation & Management service level for a subsequent observation care. These components are in addition to the medical necessity for performing the procedure(s). CPT 99224 may be used for every day of observation care (except the first day of observation or the day of observation discharge.)
