CPT 99492 Description: CPT 99492 can be reported for the first 70 minutes of CoCM in the first calendar month. A psychiatric collaborative care management (CoCM) is performed by the provider for a patient (whose conditions are not improving in conjunction and collaboration with the patients treating/billing primary care provider) receiving regular psychiatric interspecialty consultation and behavioural health treatment.
CPT 99493 Description: CPT 99493 can be reported for the first 60 minutes of CoCM in a month after the first month of care (see CPT 99492). A psychiatric collaborative care management (CoCM) is performed by the provider for a patient (whose conditions are not improving in conjunction and collaboration with the patients treating/billing primary care provider) receiving regular psychiatric interspecialty consultation and behavioural health treatment.
CPT 99494 Description: CPT 99494 is an additional code for CPT 99492 & CPT 99493. This code can be used in addition to the primary codes for each additional 30 minutes in a calendar month of subsequent or initial psychiatric care management. A psychiatric collaborative care management (CoCM) is performed by the provider for a patient (whose conditions are not improving in conjunction and collaboration with the patients treating/billing primary care provider) receiving regular psychiatric interspecialty consultation and behavioural health treatment.
