Supervises, plans, and directs the daily activities of professional fee coders and charge entry staff. Oversees staff training and performance, as well as the timely submission of professional fee charges.
This position is 100% remote for Washington State only.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education and experience
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management & Systems, or a closely related field, from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible, directly related work experience in the Health Information Management field
Credentials
- Certified Coding Associate (CCS-P) through AHIMA, or CPC through APPC
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information, Health Care Administration, or a related field
- 3 or more years of directly related experience, including leadership
- Experience in surgical specialty professional fee coding
- Experience with teaching physician rules
- EPIC system knowledge
- Resolute billing module experience
