Responsible for supporting the day-to-day coding operations for 19 acute rehab units, with a focus on IRF-PAI coding, abstracting, workflow oversight, quality, compliance, and revenue cycle performance.
This role works closely with the HIM Director, Coding Manager, Revenue Integrity, and other hospital departments to help improve coding accuracy, turnaround time, and overall operational efficiency.
The position also includes mentoring team members, assisting with training and onboarding, and leading special projects as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in health care administration, health information management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of inpatient coding experience required.
Preferred: at least 2 years of experience supervising, coaching, and evaluating coding staff.
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or AAPC certification required.
Must have inpatient rehab coding experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
