(2023) List With CPT Codes For Breast Imaging Mammography

Breast imaging mammography is an X-ray technology that is used to look inside the breasts for cancer detection or look for signs so it can be detected early. There are fourteen procedural CPT codes that can be used to report breast imaging mammography. Breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) covered by CPT codes 77046 to 77049. Mammary ductogram or galactogram can be reported with CPT 77053 and 77054. Three codes (77061, 77062, and 77063) report digital breast tomosynthesis, and diagnostic mammography can be reported with CPT codes 77065 and 77066. The last code of this range is for screening mammography and is covered by CPT code 77067.
